Sounds good but lets pump the brakes. I will be happy with a BCS game and Nuss being a Heisman finalist.

To win a national championship, LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier needs to improve his consistency and big-time throw percentage, especially early in the season. While he possesses a strong arm and the ability to make any throw, his big-time throw rate was only 4.7% last season, ranking him10th in the SEC overall. If he can increase this rate and maintain the strong play he showed late in the season, LSU's offense has the potential to be dominant and lead the team to a championship.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Consistency:
Nussmeier needs to maintain the high level of play he displayed in the final three games of the season throughout the entire 2025 season. This includes avoiding turnovers and making smart decisions with the football.
Big-Time Throw Percentage:
Increasing his big-time throw percentage (defined by PFF as passes with excellent ball location and timing, generally thrown further down the field or into a tighter window) from 4.7% to a higher rate, like the 7.8% he achieved in the final three games, will be crucial for LSU's offense to reach its full potential.
Exploiting Offensive Weapons:
Nussmeier has a talented receiving corps and a strong running back in Caden Durham. He needs to effectively utilize these weapons and distribute the ball to create a balanced and dynamic offense.
Leadership:
As the starting quarterback and a leader on the team, Nussmeier needs to continue to build chemistry with his teammates, foster a championship mindset, and inspire the team to perform at their best.
Adaptability:
The offensive line will be a key question mark for LSU in 2025, with four starters needing to be replaced. Nussmeier will need to be adaptable and make quick decisions, especially if the offensive line struggles to create consistent pass protection.
Embrace the Moment:
Nussmeier has expressed his desire to lead LSU to a national championship and is confident in his ability to do so. He needs to embrace this challenge and play with the confidence and swagger that a championship-caliber quarterback should possess.

If we don't beat Clemson, its going to be a stressful year again.
He does need better wheels, but the team is so much improved.
However, if we lose to Clemson, at least it is early in the season and to a quality opponent. Although the mascot looks like it is a meth head.

Until he wins the NC he is the same old Nuss we know.
Which is pretty damn good, without a running game, nor an elite receiver.

I’m excited about Nuss but I want to

What a stupid statement. He isnt worthy unless we win a NC. Gtfo

I stopped reading early on when you were bashing his deep ball completion %. We didnt have a deep threat at all last year until Hilton finally got healthy and knocked rust off....after that it was lights out.....and thats without a running game. You leaving that part out tells me all I need to know. You have no clue

Probably improve as the year goes on. But breaking in what is likely four new starters, two of which are transfers, may take some time gel. It usually does.
