They explain how it all got started at WinterQuarters in Tensas parish? How expanding CWD zones are going to stop the spread across the state?
What is their plan to eradicate and manage CWD? JUST BAN feeding?

I truly don’t understand the CWD hype in Louisiana.
It’s been in other states with vast spread for over 50 years
Yet, we act like it’s new and we have so little info on it. Yeh it suck’s it now here but it doesn’t seem like a big deal. And nothing has been shown to ever stop not or prevent it yet each state that gets it for the first time acts like they are going to revolutionize preventing it

The elephant in the room was the origins of positive cases also correlated with the pens.
The LA AG & Forestry department police the pens, not LA WLF.
They shared a story of a collared deer found in MS from Tensas traveled 40 miles including crossing the River was positive but prohibiting feeding on one side of the road but not the other is a way to stop the spread.

I didn’t hear an official count but rough guess 300.

it's been in cervids since forever. So, yes, with higher populations of deer and an emphasis on trying to find positive cases you will always yield more cases.
It's nothing more than the latest craze in a multi billion dollar industry. The Wildlife and Fisheries are subsidized through tax dollars, license purchasing, and special initiatives. They get more funding to 'study' this type stuff.
