Damn.
I've had LLY for years and got in VRTX 6 months ago. Just following the old diversified portfolio method and got lucky.
A lot of auto immune diseases (like diabetes) are about to be cured with stem cell tech. Not a treatment, cured. VRTX just got green lit in the EU with their cystic fibrosis treatment and approved for use in England. It will land in the USA in a year or two.
If I were a younger/youngish investor I would do a deep dive on the single issue smaller pharma companies. VRTX for example is pretty much exclusive to stem cell technology.

I think you're right.
I've opened small positions in CRSP and BNTX. The former has some recent insider buying plus Black Rock has taken a position. They both have some interesting research at varying levels of clinical trials.

Its not insider trading they just have way better intel than the rest of us.
And I wasnt blowing smoke about cures, VRTX infuses modified stem cells in to the pancreas and somehow (I'm SURE its proprietary) those cells evolve in to Islet cells and start making insulin.
Incredible things here now.

i just bought 500 shares of SLS for chits and giggles.

showing down -,02 over night
wonder if this thing is done pumping and will now dump?
guess i could get a limit order to buy. ill hold off for now and watch longer.

That is fricking amazing, I type this with an underproducing pancreas that has cause a ton of problems throughout my life.

Yeah man go to their site and look at the trial data. Of course lots of questions but god damn.
My sister is IM doc and she made a great observation. 35-45 years ago Pharma was in a race for treatment of diseases, the rush (and $$$) now is for cures.
Money to be made.
