I didn't think the Gold uni was great, but I didn't think it was THAT bad.

Does this mean anything for our cap this year or next?

I love the badger but it's time to let a younger more physical buck take position.

If anybody ever slipped and fell and picked himself back up it was the
HONEY BADGER. Respect.

Loomis can't add a dummy year and kick it into 2027

Edit becasue found the terms. He signed a 1 year deal for $4M guaranteed. By retiring, he loses his $1.5M guaranteed salary, but the question remains about the $2.5M bonus money. The team could choose to go after it, but not sure how that works in this specific situation.

If they don't go after the bonus money: 2025 cap drops from $6M to $4.56M. His 2026 dead money is now locked in at $9.2M because of the running prorated bonus money.

If they recover the bonus money: 2025 cap drops from $6M to $4.1M. His 2026 dead money is now locked in at $7.2M because of the previous prorated bonus money.

Next stop: I’d think coaching

When will he be at LSU?

Will have to do some digging but I know his most recent deal was heavy on playing time incentives

They say once you start thinking about it, you're done. Get up to his age with training camp looming for a team that probably won't be good it moves you to the other side.

I saw him play at St. Aug. It's been a pleasure to watch his career play out. The best defensive player I've seen at LSU and we had some great ones. Congrats on retirement!
