Does anybody know where to buy crawfish (live or boiled) in West Texas? Just a shot in the dark.

I hate to be a downer, but you can forget about it. You're going to the land of chicken-fried steaks and Mexican food (which ain't bad...). People out there think seafood is frozen fish sticks.

you might have a better shot at getting thm up there. I know a lot of college kids bring them in. I am in Midland/Odessa and im looking at slim pickings.

Kids at Lubbock get them for fraternity parties through distributors in Houston and on the internet...just look around.
Strangely enough if you drive about an hour west of Midland towards Ft. Stockton to a town called Imperial you can get fresh shrimp. They raise them out there, and though they aren't quite GOM shrimp, they will do in a pinch if you have a craving.

i've seen websites that will ship live crawfish but it is usually pretty expensive. might be a once a year thing; get a group to split the costs.
the town has a few seafood restaurants (local joints) but the level of freshness is a question mark. hopefully there is at least one place that ships in fresh seafood on a regular basis. we'll see. i've been in the midwest for the last 7 years so i'm use to not having good/fresh seafood available.
good luck.
