Let the Veteran's decide....

All this bullshite about military bases being renamed because of woke politics is resurfacing. I had basic training at Ft. Polk, Louisiana and regardless of what the Democrats want to call it...it will forever be Ft. Polk to me.
How 'bout we let the veterans of each facility decide on the name? I'm pretty certain the results will show that veterans don't give a damn about the name being connected to confederate generals, etc. but rather they cling to the sentiment of where they served while wearing the uniform.

Didnt they name Ft Bragg back from whatever gay name they gave it?

There are bigger problems to solve and renaming bases isn't one of them.

It's going to be great letting soldiers make the decisions.

Yes, let's name them all "endless disability for life."

Those names didn't change. Huachuca is a geographic name. Campbell was named for some Yankee general.

I know they all get disability for life.
My friend gets it, he was still in basic when he got medically discharged, so we pay him a few grand each month so he can work another job and smoke weed all day.

No lol.
It’s a disability scale of 10% to 100% where 10% is like nothing and 100% is nearly 4k a month. You can’t get free healthcare from the VA for all things unless you’re at 50% which is when the bigger money starts to kick in. I’ve never met a vet above 50% that didn’t deploy. I’m at 70% personally
This didnt happen unless he took an injury at basic training that was very serious. Far above even a regular medical discharge. Which isnt disability, and gets you no disabiliy on its own.

Oh shite here comes an "s" better use an apostrophe. Real question though, why worry about letting veterans decide about something as trivial as naming bases after confederate traitors? Why not let them decide if we should strip the VA budget to fund massive billionaire tax cuts. Veterans have earned the right for their country to take care of them.

Was the recruiter closed the day you wanted to enlist?

I talked to a recruiter and at no point did they say I could get disability for life or I would have signed up on the fricking spot.
So take your uncreative quip and shove it up your arse. At some point the taxpayers are going to say no more, and the people that actually need disability are gonna get screwed. Good job America, only looking out for yourselves.

Plenty already are getting screwed by the VA, so take your bullshite take on it and pack it in skippy... You had an opportunity to serve and decided to go another route...

Because you can’t you fricking retard.
I did 12 months in Iraq and 14 in Afghan doing air assault once and jsoc intelligence the second and I only get 70% disability which is about 1800$ a month and health care.
They don’t just hand that shite out you’re a moron. Especially above 50% when the benefits really kick in
