I guess it's the same reason that Joe Biden's uncle Bosie was eaten by cannibals during WW2 or how Bo Biden died fighting in Iraq or how Hunter Biden's laptop was disinformation.

Or how Joe Biden drove an 18 wheeler for a living, or how Joe Biden was arrested when he was in South Africa in during a 1970's trip to South Africa, I can go on but it's late.

Where were you when Joe Biden was lying?

Or did you believe Joe Biden because you have agenda?

Don't complain about liars when you as a socialist "democrat" are based on lies.

At some point Trumps uncle may have been longest tenured professor.

What Trump did is know in some circles as “exaggerating”

Now do Uncle Boise.

His uncle lwas likely at least adjacent to some of the shite that was going on. There were numerous mindfrick type experiments being done around that area at that time.

Oh wow, that's wild.

Upstate New York is rural, different folk up there than the folks from "New York City".

What kind of vibe did they seem to give off?

They seemed at peace with things mostly. David was vehemently against death penalty. Linda was just pretty at peace but you could tell she had been through some shite.

To clarify I didn’t know who they were at first. I spent a few days doing charity work, pressure washing and painting houses, and they were the lead on this project. I forget exactly how it came about but I think somebody said something and I asked them myself and they acknowledged. They weren’t running from it, but it wasn’t the center of their identity either.

They are definitely the major benefactor and managers of the KTD monastery in Woodstock NY

Which is almost something like a Tibetan embassy for what it is worth

Which is nice because China sucks

And there is nothing China hates more than those pesky Tibetans that hold the spiritual lineage of all the peasants throughout China

For real? They are the ones that turned him in.

Must’ve been tough on the brother.

Yea they did the right thing but yea, I could still see it in his eyes that it still hurts him to have had to do that. Linda actually was the one to recognize a few Ted’s writing idiosyncrasies. David did contact law enforcement. That shite has to be rough.

Ted got really badly fricked up at Harvard. It’s no excuse, but what they did to him was unethical.

Yea. I’ve read about the experiments he was involved in.

Wonder what Ted would think about AI and Technology today?

Weird? I guess "weird" is in the eye of the beholder.

It's no different than Trump's claim that FOMC rates should be 3 points lower, or Powell will be imminently fired, etc. Trump knows those things are not true. But the Media is going to underreport/misreport/lie about Trump anyway. So Trump hyperbole, exaggeration, or lies (using your term) are a way of forcing reporting, or resetting negotiating start points.

Had you ever heard Trump's uncle was an esteemed Prof at MIT?

It's the kind of story the MSM media would slobber itself to report about a Dem POTUS, under auspices of heritable IQ bonafides presumptions. In fact, the Daily Beast struggled reporting this story for just that reason.

The author, Josephine Harvey hated reporting the association of Trump and his MIT Professor uncle. So she went out of her way making sure to disparage Trump's father, while admitting the MIT aspects of the uncle's story.
quote:

John Trump was said to be very different to his brother, Fred Trump, and the future president.

“John was as different from his nephew as you can imagine, and so I don’t know why the DNA didn’t spread over to his brother Fred,” O. Robert Simha, who worked with John Trump at MIT in the 1960s, told the Daily Beast earlier this year. “We haven’t figured that one out yet.”
Trump's technique is interesting. Even given the dense media filter, he manages to force positive information forward. In this case it is info about his extended family. It's information which most Americans were unaware of. e.g., I'd bet you were aware Jill Biden is a "doctor," or that Obama was a Constitutional Law "professor," etc.

But did you know Trump's uncle was a long-serving MIT prof?
I didn't.

If you ask Americans about Ivy League POTUSes, most would know Obama is a Harvard grad, Bill Clinton is Yale and a Rhodes Scholar .... but how many would be aware Trump is an Ivy Leaguer as well? Very few. It is simply underreported, if it's reported at all. The underreporting is done for a reason.

You're just going to keep pointing at Joe freaking Biden every time Trump screws up for the next 3.5 years?

On Tuesday, Orangeman fell asleep on stage at the Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit.

Yesterday, he called the chair of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell a “terrible Fed chair” and added: “I was surprised he was appointed.”

Trump appointed Powell in 2018.

Whataboutism is a rhetorical tactic that deflects criticism or avoids addressing a point by raising a counter-accusation or irrelevant question, often using "what about?" as a starting point. It's a form of deflection that shifts the focus from the original issue to a different, often unrelated, topic. Essentially, it's a way to avoid engaging with a critique by pointing out a similar problem or wrongdoing by the accuser or a third party
