I’ve seen losing a child destroy a life. I’ve never seen that with a dog.
So no. Not quite.
So no. Not quite.

Yes. They listen better than my kids.

The article does say there are some differences.
Also…. There’s probably a bit more acceptance in dogs. Dogs die, you know that going into ownership that you are likely to outlive them. You never expect to outlive your children.

has almost crossed into the territory

They ain't, and never will be, the same thang...
To me...

My coworker who has three kids and three dogs says she absolutely likes her dogs more than her kids

Anyone who loves their dog as much as their kids doesn’t love their kids enough.
Posted on 7/14/25 at 5:32 pm to athenslife101
So stupid. Dogs are great, but they’re not your damn kids. That’s ridiculous

Eh, some dogs are shits. Some children are shits. Some parents are shits. They exist.
I don’t think this is saying people see dogs from a love meter being equal to kids. It’s the same type of neurological response. That’s all that’s being said

I bet the authors forces everyone to recognize her celebrating Mother's Day despite being childless

Dogs are the shinizzle ........ until you have a child. Then they take a backseat.

You go in knowing the dog is going to die. You don’t have the expectation of outliving your kid or that it’s only gonna be 10-12 years.

You mean vehemently childfree with vicious opinions of parents who bring their children anywhere.

If your kid was born retarded or disfigured would you still love them more than your pet dog?

I got into a fight with an ex-girlfriend because I didn’t get her anything for MotherDay. When I reminded her she wasn’t a mom she lost her shite and screamed “I’m a dog Mom!!!!!”
The break up happened when we got into another fight because she got mad that I didn’t call and wish her a Happy International Women’s day. To which I responded, “WTF are you even talking about?”
