Can’t imagine an assistant gym coach is making much money.
Seems like a smart move to go into sales and also be able to stay connected to the gymnastics world.

LSU actually pays the gym assistant coaches very well.
That being said it’s about more than money for her. Couldn’t ask for a better athlete, coach and person to rep the P&G, and she will be missed, but sounds like she’s ready to move on with her life. I’m so thankful she stayed as long as she did.

Moving to Tampa to join her longtime boyfriend, who works for the NY Yankees. Will work for a company that sells leotards to Colleges, including LSU. Good for Gnat. TYFYS.

Prior to Haleigh Bryant Bugs was the greatest gymnast in the history of this storied program. She developed into an outstanding coach and represented LSU with class and great pride in the purple and gold. Bugs was the foundation when the program elevated from very good to an SEC champion and national power.

Hate to see her go, but we have a plethora of former gymnasts that could step into her role as well. Next season is going to be a transition season anyway after everything we lost, it'll be a good season to change a coach. The good thing about LSU is the program has never been stronger and they should still be a contender next year, albeit not a favorite like this past season.

I mean honestly most people didn’t really care about lsu gym until the likes of Kayleigh Dickinson, rheagan Corville, Jessie Jordan, Sydney Ewing, lomencia hall, bugs, myia, etc came. The next haul of s. Finnegan, kennedi, Lexie, ruby, and McKenna really cemented lsu gym.
Also this post was really in response to saying bugs was greatest before Haleigh.

I mean, I saw a 15 y/o Mary Lou Retton come to Baton Rouge after the 84 games. DD was well known and gymnastics was a “thing” then. It was the addition of the programs at all these schools and social media that really made it explode. The SEC started caring about it more. But make no mistake April Burkholder was the greatest if not top 2 of all time at LSU. Haleigh was a little disappointing last season post season. Call it like it is.
