Map and Flag for Masters

I’d rather just have a badge or ticket and be on the course all day.
What is the draw for people to pay $17000 to be across the street at the old Electrolux building?
Is this peak Trophy Travel?
BTW, the Masters lottery did not send reminder email to me. I went in and signed up anyway. Did any of you get reminder email for 2026 tickets?

Map & Flag comes with tickets into the gates though right?

Yes.
I guess it’s great if there is a rain delay, and I think it’s sort of a week long thing so you would get to see a lot of golf.
I guess I’ve just sort of gone to practice rounds and tournament days at the Masters and have not experienced the hospitality areas like Berckman’s Place and Map and Flag.
I guess if you have someone who is not into golf, at least the food is probably high end.
My in person sports experiences are on the spartan end of the spectrum. Watch the game, competition, and have a bottle of water if it’s hot outside.

It's pretty much all corporate from what I gather, so companies are paying the $17k to schmooze/reward people.
If you're a golf person, then you will spend your time on the course. If not, then you will spend your time back at the building.
If I was personally blowing money on upgraded badges, then I would be doing Berckmans Place over M&F.

Berckmans Place is fantastic if you’re lucky enough to get in. I went 2017 and 2018

How were the greens they put in?
Which holes were they modeled on?
It is near the course.
I guess I’m too poor to ever be invited to those venues. When I go to the Masters I stay out on the course as much as possible. It’s an amazing property.
The no cell phone policy makes it so much better. People are present. Nobody preening around for the perfect selfie.
Concessions are so organized and cheap. You barely miss any action grabbing lunch or a snack.
Many vantage points allow for viewing of golfers on multiple holes. 15/16 complex is action packed.
Each hole has unique challenges.
I enjoy setting up near any green and watching them sort out their chips and putts. They could hit a napkin as a landing spot. I feel good if I can land it on a beach blanket. The difference in 1 ft left/right/shallow/deep is amazing to me. Miss landing spot 4 ft right, it goes off the green, and so forth.

The ANGC last week informed holders of Berckman's badges that effective Masters 2029 they will not be able to purchase badges. Berckman's will be accessed by members and their guests only. The ANGC has partnered with On Location to expand Map and Flag into a 1st class corporate hospitality venue. Food, Drink, Lodging and Daily Badge ...Key is ANGC shares in the profits from this Masters Experience instead of the current 4-5 hospitality companies who depend on Masters Patrons illegally selling their badges to them for a tidy sum and then they intern sell packages for 5,000-6000 a day. This year over 500 badges were pulled from Patrons who obtained them from secondary market which is a violation of the agreement between ANGC and the patron of record. ANGC has finally recognized that they were leaving millions of dollars on the table by not offering expanded corporate hospitality. ANGC does everything 1st Class and this will be no doubt a 1st class operation.

That’s interesting about Berkmans place. I don’t think there’s near enough members and guests to fill each of the venues in there for breakfast and lunch like there typically is with the “corporate” badge holders

Any idea if they were mainly cracking down on resale of the weekly badges or the daily tickets and practice round tickets as well?
I got Wednesday tickets this year and would like to try to potentially buy Monday as well on the resale market, but don’t know if I want to risk trouble with ANGC.
