Green lights for dock fishing

Anybody got any recs? They have different sizes and wanting to know what works. Want to have one at the end of the pier and one about 100 feet closer to shore along the walkway. For reference the walkway to dock is about 200 feet. Was wondering what size I should get and if having two of them would help or just spread the fish out.

I have five on my dock right now. All are 1000 watt. I do think they spread the fish out. I make my own. I'm going to start looking at LED. They are expensive as are the commercial HID systems.

I used to use Green Monster until I had to replace a couple of them. People were fishing them and throwing right at the light.
As such, I switched to Deep Glow underwater lights. These are pretty much unbreakable.

I have a deep glow as well. I'll be adding a second one as soon as my dock and boathouse get rebuilt

Yes, bust the bulbs with jigs.

IMO, the submerged green lights are great for watching fish and then catching 1-2 and then having to wait. If you want to catch numbers, halogen pointed down at the water is what you want.

I've caught more than that but they are normally good for one or two fish. You can catch a buttload of crappie tho.
My neighbor used to catch some big, big bass.
I'm obviously fresh water.

Busted Bulbs and cuts in the line from baits/props are what will have the $500 light cost you $1k over the next 5 years. With that said tho, I would buy another one tomorrow if ours crapped the bed tonight. They're awesome, but like others said you're only getting one or two fish caught from it before they scatter for the next 30 minutes.

Growing up there was camp that had an electric bug light on the end of their dock. At night the fish that were underneath that light was amazing. Many broken lines were had back then.

Yea the idea is to have a few on our dock plus the surrounding friends docks so we can go by one by one and rip a few good ones. Seems underwater is the best for that. Thanks for all the recs

I have a green blob and it has been great for 2 years and is plugged up almost year round.

I finally ran the cable through 3/4 inch PVC. PVC within a foot of the bulb, a weight, more PVC to dock edge, then a weight and PVC down fastened to dock. No more cuts but they still bust the bulbs. In fact I have to replace another that quit last week. I make the bastards and it is a pain. In the Spring from late February until May, I catch the hell out of fish. And I've busted off more times than I want to think about. Been dead this summer. But neighbor caught an 11 1/2 in August of last year. It gets good again in the Fall.
