Are there any stock opportunities for these companies like Haliburton to pop in the next couple of years or are they so tied into $60 something oil that thet will be flat or decline more in the next 2-3 years?

I'm looking at HAL, SLB, DVN etc and can't believe these prices...but they are almost certainly a value trap it seems. Thoughts? Just buy for dividend maybe?

Maybe stay away from the service companies and stick with upstream and midstream operators with solid balance sheets and good dividends. VLO, EOG, FANG, XOM, CVX, ET, KMI, etc.

Last term, Trump valued cheap oil over having viable domestic o&g production. Everything was crap all four years. Hard to predict what will happen next. Aside for a few super long term utility companies, I have no exposure to the sector.

Absolutely. Service sector stocks should do fine

Exploratory ones with low oil prices will be volatile IMO

they probably won't go to 0, they also wont go to 3000 (a la Tesla and Nvidia).

Look at an ETF like XLE instead, it will have better balance.

I have a sizable holding in HAL and it’s been anemic at best for a while.

I feel it’s a big value at $20 just worried it’s going to be awhile
