Going to Red Rocks again

I’ve got concert tickets for my girls and me in late September, and it's going to be a surprise for them. Last time we went (October 2024), we stayed in Colorado Springs since we packed in a lot — The Broadmoor zip line (which was incredible), Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge, and of course Red Rocks.
This time, we’re definitely doing the Broadmoor zip line again—that’s non-negotiable. And of course, we’ll be back at Red Rocks. But I’d love some fresh ideas — what else would y’all recommend?
Also open to suggestions on where to stay this time. We had a rental car last time and didn’t mind the driving, so we’ll have one again. Just looking to make the most of the trip with a mix of adventure and memory-making!
I'd rather stay out of Denver, but if it makes sense logistically, I will certainly consider it.
Edited to say ...
Seeing a concert at Red Rocks makes me never want to see a concert anywhere else ...

I’ve never done any of the zip lines in Colorado but I believe there is one in Conifer and I know there is a zipline/adventure park off I-70 close to Idaho Springs. Both of those are about 30 minutes from Morrison (Red Rocks), much closer than Colorado Springs. I can’t speak to how much better or worse they are than the Broadmoor but just something to consider. I would look into staying in either Golden, Morrison, Idaho Springs, or Evergreen. This gives you the option to explore the foothills or jump on I-70 and shoot up to Breck, Winter Park, Vail, Silverthorne for the day.
-Favorite hike close to Red Rocks- Lair O’ the Bear
-Idaho Springs- Main Street Restaurant for breakfast. Everything made from scratch.
-New Terrain- Kid/Dog friendly brewery in Golden.
-St Marys Glacier- cool quick hike to a “glacier”.
Blue Pan- Best pizza in Colorado.
Everything listed is about 30 minutes or less from Morrison.

We rafted the Royal gorge and it was an incredible experience.

I'm going to spend some time looking at places to stay in these areas. Any specific recommendations for lodging?

I will look into this. We went to the Royal Gorge to zip line last time we were there, and unfortunately, the zip line was shut down due to high winds.
In late September, early October, is white water rafting still a go?

I just did 2 nights at red rocks. Stayed at Denver Marriott west. It was ok but close. Went into golden for lunch and man, Golden is nice. Apparently they’ve spent a bunch of money on the town. If you wanted to tour the brewery, you need to book well in advance.
I’m currently in Bachelor Gulch. Lots to do between beaver creek and vail and only about 1.5 hours west of Denver.

shite to do:
dinosaur ridge outside Morrison
coors brewery tour (call morning of they always have tix)
downtown Morrison
downtown golden
downtown evergreen
buffalo bill museum
lair o the bear
red rocks park
make sure and eat at hungry goat in Morrison. Also if you’re interested in getting hammered with the locals the holiday bar is your place
that area is just gorgeous and might be my favorite part of Colorado

We did Red Rocks last month for a concert. We stayed just outside of Evergreen, the drive over to RR was as easy as could be. Restaurant recommendations in the area: Blackbird Cafe for brunch is a must, Evergreen Bread Lounge, SaBella Pizza, Genesee Pub and BBQ is a cool locals type place, great patio. If you want a fancy fine dining experience make reservations at The Monarch Chophouse at the casino in Black Hawk, one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. Caesar salads complete with fresh anchovies prepared table side, great drinks, unbelievable steaks, and then Gelato made table side with liquid nitrogen for dessert. What a meal. Plenty of nature to see in the area, there were elk everywhere around town, the lake is nice walk. We fished some in Bear Creek above the lake, lots of small trout. My wife was on a bum foot so no hiking this trip. We feel the same way about concerts now that we have been to RR, we will be going back soon.

The bum wheel may wife has got us a temporary handicap pass so we went early and tailgated in the HC lot right next to the gate. Then they even loaded us up in a shuttle from there and we went up the hill and dropped us off at the gate. No idea how the Uber works, I did get a recommendation that said you could park way down on the lowest lot and pay like 10 bucks for a cab ride to the gate at the top, not sure how that works.

Dude. I almost got divorced over leaving RR. It was her fault though.
Ended up catching a shuttle to the bottom and then having to request an UBER. It was a situation made bad by drinking and I'm not gonna say who but it wasnt me.
