Fantastic pitching, some timely hitting and NO ERRORS

That was the Tigers' formula for beating the baby blue chickens.
The last stat was just as important as the first two.
The Tigers will have some work to do to replace such a solid infield next season.
--Braswell was impenetrable at 3rd.
--Jones was a hulking (280 pounds, they said
) stopper at 1st.
--Milam was Milam, smooth and efficient at short.
--Dickinson had some tough plays, but with a broken hand, he did exceptionally well.
--Finally, Hernandez turned into a brick wall behind the plate. Not the strongest arm, but great at blocking balls in the dirt and 3 feet over his head.

Jones missed a pretty standard pick at 1b yesterday. I wouldnt call it flawless defense.

Point out the word flawless in my post. I called it solid. They committed no errors.
And they did what they needed to do to win a championship.

Official score keeper agrees with you. No error on the Jones miss at 1st. Infield hit all the way.

It wasn't perfect, but it was darn good enough.
What an incredible year, and knowing we've got THE GUY as H.C., whatever we need to replace, I know he'll get it done.

It almost felt like we were on offense when we were on defense this weekend. Our big explosive plays were Braswell and Milam making insane plays look routine.
