We were at a retirement party tonight, watching the game on our iPad and couldn’t hear anything. Can someone explain why it wasn’t ruled a home run? Don’t shoot the messenger. My husband is asking.

Hit the middle of the yellow line on top of fence. Didn’t go over fence. Not a HR.

Has to go over the yellow trim - out of the field of play

His ball hit the trim - remained in the field of play

Y’all realize that she was at a party and they kept showing a replay of the fence blocking the coastal Carolina players met from catching the ball.

She thought since there was no volume that they were reviewing if it was a home run.

Kind of a weird question.

Does he watch baseball? That one made me mad because another foot and it was a HR. Blue got hit by an overthrow that prevented Milam getting another run. Milam pretty much had 2 runs robbed from him tonight. He was a solo factory on hitting. Team needs to give him some help tomorrow.

Bet CC hates Milam.

There are some parks where the yellow line is considered a HR. I never understood that.

While ground rules at ballparks could vary, generally speaking, if it hits the top of the yellow line and goes over - it’s a HR. If it doesn’t go over, it’s still in the field of play.

There are some ballparks where he could be correct. Depends on ground rules.

Not many and in those cases it’s only because there’s a solid facing…basically if it hits the line or above it’s a HR and below it is in play.

There are no parks where simply hitting the top of the fence is a HR.

Milam has some pop in his bat for such a little guy. That ball was hammered and it was a laser beam in winds that were pushing in at 20mph. I'm not sure how much the wind impacted that one because it was so line drive hard hit. Still mad that one didn't get out the park. That was the only way someone was hitting a HR in that side of the field.
