That’s the concern for Coastal. They are light years better and more talented than UALR and they are even hotter right now.

Our boys are going to have to play their asses off and take it from them. They aren’t going to give us anything. I believe they will be ready after that LR experience. It was great prep for these finals.

We didn’t struggle with UALR as much as we struggled throwing strikes.

So is every team we've played since them.

The point is that the run they were on and confidence they were playing with lifted them. They shouldn’t have been capable of playing like that for most of the weekend, but they did it. The only team that has challenged us as much in the postseason is Arkansas, and they are elite.

Now we are facing a team with a lot more talent that is even hotter. Like LR, we will have to stake them in the heart before they will fold. But I think we will do exactly that.

We had multiple errors at the start of the 2nd game when we got behind. We left around 1,000 RISP in game 1. Then the bats went cold when Williams went in and settled things for 3 innings before we fell apart.

It wasn’t just pitching.

Little Rock oddly feels like the toughest team we have played in the tourney for me

As hot as they were, they couldn't touch Eyanson either time or Evans, and I'd bet any money they wouldn't have against Anderson either had they faced him.

Nobody's overlooking Coastal, least of all the players or Jay. And Coastal should feel confident as should any team that makes the championship series of the CWS. That said, I like our chances with our pitching staff fully rested and able to go through their normal rotation and all of Coastal's big guns are righties.
