Early in the game, he struck out twice with runners on and less than two outs - unable to even advance the runners. Later in the game, he made an error that allowed at least one, maybe two runs to score, and let Arkansas take the lead.

Not a good night through 7.5 innings. Then in the 8th, he ties the game up with a homerun and later walks it off with an RBI single.

Man, I'm going to miss that boy when he's gone.

That’s baseball. Keep your head up and keep grinding. It takes a lot of mental toughness to not let things like that spiral and go into a tailspin you’re aren’t going to recover from. Kinda like the kids from Arkansas last night.

Great redemption for him in the late innings for sure, but he did lead off the 2nd inning with a single so it wasn't all bad at the plate in the early going

He also had a really nice stab of a shot down the first baseline. It would have gone foul, but who knows what the hitter and Arky would have done with another opportunity.

With all the grief he gets, he's 3rd on the team in average, first in HRs and RBIs and is pretty damn good fielder at 1st base.

He’s had big ups and downs all season. We all know it. But your leaders SHOW UP when you need them. And after that stinker on Saturday, he did the work and here are the numbers:

UCLA: 2-4, 1 HR, 4 RBIs, 2 Runs, 1 BB, 1 K

Arkansas: 3-5, 1 HR, 2 RBIs, 1 Run, 2 Ks.

Yes, he had the fielding mistake that could have cost us, but then he went right out and erased it in the bottom of the inning. Those numbers speak for themselves.
