Nothing to see here. Marines are fair and professional. This was just crossing a yellow-tape boundary but not stopping.

Think twice before laying your hand on a Marine. That will not be met nearly as nicely as this stop was.

quote:

Marcos Leao, the first detained civilian by the US marines since Trump deployed troops to California, spoke to reporters after he was released.

Leao, an army veteran, said he was on his way to an office of the Department of Veterans Affairs when he crossed a yellow-tape boundary and was asked to stop, according to Reuters.

The 27-year-old, who gained his US citizenship through military service, said he was treated “very fairly”.

“They’re just doing their job,” said Leao, who is of Angolan and Portuguese descent.

I know. Fair question. But if they are going to come, I have to say this is the best way they can actually *earn* their citizenship.

Such a nothing burger and everyone was so afraid the Marines would be knuckle-draggers. But, that's just not us. Do you realize it takes a much better ASVAB score to get into the Marine Corps than it does the Army or the Nayv?

You understand we are a nation of immigrants, correct? If done legally, there is no issue.

Don't be dumb.

Does that really matter? The moment you get to Parris Island the goal is to make you bored violent alcoholics. Very organized bored violent alcoholics though.
