Anyone have some past years CWS spots they enjoyed? Food, cocktails or just slamming some white cans?

IB4, The food in Nebraska sucks azz. This I know.

TIA

Lazy and lame... Omaha had multiple James Beard Semifinalists in the Midwest this year. Boiler Room is a fantastic restaurant. Highly recommend. Haven't been to Ota and Yoshitomo.

For craft beer, Lumen does really well in the Hazy category. Bearded Brewer is good, as well, if you can stand a Lyft/Uber from downtown.

Decent number of cocktail bars around Omaha. Most well-known is Berry & Rye, but definitely check out Anna's Place, Fizzy's, and Dry Spokes.

ETA: Haven't been for CWS. Gone for work a couple times. Cool city.

Omaha is a pretty elite food scene. What are you looking for? You can find most anything downtown, but the whole city is filled with great restaurants

Took my dad to Drovers for Father’s Day on our 2017 trip. It was very good. Make a reservation.

Try the pink poodle also over in council bluff. They have great prime rib and it’s pretty reasonably priced. It’s a hole in the wall place that’s been open since the 50’s.

I was friends with the Orsi grandkids in high school. Unfortunately, Grandpa Orsi decided to hang it up last year and it closed. Great spot for sure though
