Anybody been to this? Reviews? Thinking about going to this soon, never been to Universal in general either.

Went in October… enjoyed it. Definitely recommend the fast pass or whatever they call it… regular lines for the Houses were looooong.
That pass was well worth the money.
Universal is great btw. Especially now that they have Epic Universe (Nintendo World). Get the park hopper where you can go to all the Universal Parks.

We went before the LSU FSU game. It was a lot of fun IF you are into horror.
One caveat is that they close the universal side of the park down pretty early, so you don't get a full park day unless you have a hopper.

Orlando, Hollywood and soon to be Las Vegas, which will be open year round starting in August at Area 15. Universal does an exceptional job with Horror Nights, it's done very well.

HHN in Orlando is always a great time... i usually go around the first week or two in October
Get the express pass... it's 100% worth the money
No need to pay extra to be in the park before the event starts... you can do everything in one night with express pass
Take time to enjoy the scare zones when you go through them
Try and hit the big houses first (ones based on TV or movies) those are the most popular, so get them done and out of the way
Don't sleep on the other "lesser" houses (these are ones with made up back stories)... every year there are 1 or 2 that are incredible
Take time to visit Harry Potter world, its really neat... also there is a little show that happens in one of the side areas, so grab a butter beer and enjoy
Also there is a big stage show towards the back of the park, that happens every so often... it's a good place to take a break and get off the feet
Some of the rides close at 11, but the houses do not, so keep that in mind and hit the rides when you can... I typically go clockwise around the park as my strategy
Wear comfortable shoes, because there will be a lot of walking and standing around... you will be tired by the end of it
Alcohol is available but kind of pricey as you would expect... make sure you have something to eat while you're there.. a good little break halfway through the night is important

Happy to help!
Thursday night is a good night, but I typically go on Fridays... get your passes early, either by phone or actual tickets
When you're ready to enter, either go all the way to the left or all the way to the right... there are lines of scanners and people gravitate to the center... quicker entry on the ends
There are plenty of YouTube videos available with a lot of the same things I previously discussed.. also there is a good subreddit for HHN Orlando with fans talking about houses, surprises, sharing their experiences, etc... they get a bit deep into it as their own little subculture, and a big game for them is to guess the houses each year based off of coded maps and tweets that HHN put out each year... also you can find themed merch for each year, including shirts, bags, cups and even food
Have fun and enjoy the show... you're gonna get "got" at some point by an actor, and scream like a girl... it is going to happen... I've seen grown men absolutely lose their shite and have to be dragged out of a house by their friends
