More Ellie Revenge Tours and Joel Flashbacks excepted, what do you expect?
Of course, Job 1 is resolving that riveting cliffhanger. The shocking moment between Ellie and Abby, setting up intense conflicts for the next chapter? I say it was a forlorn Dina that pulled that trigger to protect her last remaining lover?
We gets us more Abby! Following her journey within the Washington Liberation Front community. Was she a closet Seahawks fan maybe?
And, of course the obvious we'll all be waiting for...Ellie continues her path of vengeance.

I know it isn't true, but my outside hope is that it was really Ellie who was shot in the face and she's dead and we just move forward with Abby from here on out.

It wont be out until 2027 so you have plenty of time to speculate and map out all your theories.
I cant wait to see more of the WLF and Seraphite war. Last episode Jeffrey Wright did insinuate Abby had abandoned them, I hope that doesnt mean we wont see much of it.

I'll start watching again if that is the case. It could actually be a halfway decent show if she wasn't in it. Though despite how terrible of a character Ellie is, the writing is an even bigger problem.

Best part of the series. I don't know their backstory, so I did some digging. Here's one article on it:
All Explained
The militia group is at war with a cult known as the Seraphites for control of Seattle, with both groups going to extreme measures to succeed in their cause.
Apparently, the war’s full scope, including Isaac’s motivations and the island invasion, will be explored in Season 3.
This arc is probably the only reason I'll still watch it.

Nah. I think the last scene in the stadium gives it all away. Plus, we'll forget it all anyway by the time it gets here with the trailer's on "Ellie Gets Revenge".
Maybe they throw us a curveball and stray significantly from the game. The Last of Us has been renewed for season 3, but no specific release date has been announced yet. Filming has not started, and while some speculate a potential release in June or July 2027, this is not confirmed.
Hope we're all around by 2027. That's a long time.

Season 3 will likely be superior to Season 2. It'll have a lot of the really great stuff from Season 2, but with a better and more likeable actress leading the way.

I'm guardedly optimistic. Can't allude to that "“all-chips-on-the-table” assault, with apocalyptic scenes of the battle, and not explain what's going on and why in more depth.
Maybe Isaac and Abby had a falling out? "Abby's Arc" (love using the word arc!) is clearly going to be more of a focal point.
BUT...
WHERE THE HELL IS SHIMMER??? how could they not check on one horse in three days? Horses drink a LOT of water, did they leave Shimmer a trough?

I'll actually be surprised if a third season happens.
Reviews and ratings were both bad for the second season and season three promises to be the most expensive of the series to date.

And I remember when it was made official before the release of the Last Jedi in 2017 that Rian Johnson would be directing his own trilogy of Star Wars films. It's been almost eight years and the first film hasn't even gone into development yet.
They are supposed to start filming the third season this month. There has been no news in regards to casting calls, filming locations, or the like and Isabel Merced has stated that they likely won't begin filming until 2026. Something tells me HBO is doing the math and are not liking what they see.
