I am in a group that does Roulette style bourbon giveaways, and I have the opportunity to pick one of these. I am torn between the JD12 and stagg. What should I pick?

I just opened my Stagg C and it's the best thing I have had in recent memory.

JD12 easily.
ETA Stagg (Jr) is young and harsh (relatively speaking in this comparison). JD12 is a great balance of age and proof and just a phenomenal pour. Can't go wrong either way, but the JD12 is better than most Stagg batches and single barrels I've had.
Looks like we have some taters downvoting probably haven't had JD12 and maybe not even Stagg Jr

Side by side to confirm my previous post. Nose on the Stagg is a little better for my personal preference, chocolate stands out. JD gives rich bananas foster that is very enjoyable as well. But actually drinking them, the JD is the clear winner. JD is more oily, flavors are more developed, and the finish just goes and goes. The Stagg drinks a little hot, but it's tasty too. Just needs more time in the barrel. I will say it's big brother George T Stagg is my favorite because it does all those things and then some.

Went with the JD and he is sending a sample of Stagg as well. Win win
