Have a business trip in a few weeks. Any cool historic hotels or semi-famous old restaurants? Or am I stuck at the Hampton?

Go and eat at Mazens, or if at the end of the week, the Gordon Ramsey steakhouse at the Isle of Debris. Lunch should be at Darryl’s (poboys) or at Pujo Street Cafe (nicer)

No Historic Hotels ( those not destroyed by fire or hurricanes were torn down by man) Best bet is either the GN or L'auberge, or one of the hotels on W. Prien lake near Contraband Parkway- or an airbnb/ vrbo
Higher end: Mazen's, Calla, La Truffe Sauvage , Embers (Lauberge), or Vic $ Anthony's (GN), Chart House (GN)
More Casual: Darrel's for a poboy, Victoria's taqueria for tacos, the new Shuck's, Salt Water Revivial or Seafood Palace for oysters/ seafood, Luna's for good pub style food

I really like Leonard's for lunch. The fried porkchops and their red beans & rice are really dang good.
