This reel popped up on my Facebook page. I don't think you have to have FB to view it.

Haven't had Popeye's in a long time and the sitter wanted chicken so we all ordered some of these. They looked exactly like in the reel. They were meaty and had the same crunch. There's a generous amount of the sauce. There's definitely a kick to them. Had a few left over and ate one from the fridge. Crunch held up well. I'd get them again. I hadn't heard anything about their new pickle flavored items.

The wings were good! I took my 12 yo nephew to try each of the pickle items. The fried pickles were terrible, coating was too thick and texture indicated they'd been sitting out a while, so maybe they're better fresh. The pickle lemonade was surprisingly not bad. I couldn't drink a whole cup of it, but it was refreshing. Like I said, I really liked the wings, they were the best of the three items.

Yeah I think Popeyes bone in wings are underrated. The pickle glaze was very good. Unfortunately they've been out of the actual fried pickles since right after release.

The pickle glaze on the sandwich didn't stand out nearly as much and wasn't really worth it IMO.

There's much more crunch than on the regular fried chicken.

I doubt I'll try the sandwich, but I read that there isn't much glaze on it. I also saw a picture and there was just a bit of glaze in the middle of the piece of chicken. The wings are almost swimming in it.

That was my experience. I thought they gave me a regular sandwich by mistake until I lifted the bun.

I'll give the wings a try if they're well-coated though. I'm a big fan of the ghost pepper ones.

I am not a huge fan of the pickle glaze but I have a couple of tips for the wings in general.

If you are not eating them in the restaurant order them with the sauce on the side. First, it keeps the sauce from breaking down the crunch on the way home and second if you plan leftovers you can wait to sauce them before you eat them so you get more crunch. I actually tend to dip mine as the full sauce treatment tends to overpower the chicken but if you plan to sauce them when you get home if you order sauce on the side get them to give them to you in the black plastic container otherwise they come in the cardboard container and you have to use Tupperware to sauce them and one more thing to wash.

Also note along with the regualar sauce they come with dipping sauce as well which I didn't know until I ordered them on the app. I always get Bufflao sauce with them because that is not one of the wing sauces they offer and I like Buffalo wings and they gives me two options.

This may be common knowledge but I just came to it in the last year. I have gotten to where I can reheat chicken from the fridge to near just out of grease taste. The key is heating it first in the microwave to knock the chill off and then into the airfryer to finish heating it and get a good crisp back into the breading. I won't try to give times and temps because different sized peices need different times. With a big breast I start in the microwave for 30-45 seconds then into the airfryer for 3-4 minutes. When you are starting keep a close eye on it in the airfryer. The microwave bit prevents the issue of not getting the meat warm all the way through or starting to burn the crust.

Good tips. I saw the option to get sauce on the side when we ordered, but didn't do it. The sauce didn't affect the crunch on mine at all. That's what was impressive to me. It looked like they put the sauce on the bottom of the container and the chicken on top. They really weren't completely glazed, but since there was an abundance of sauce, it didn't matter. They were still crunchy out of the fridge the next day even in the sauce.
