CBT is not wasting any time moving forward to next season, don’t know much about her but may show CBT is gonna be active in portal for pitching help

Her strikeout to walk ratio is impressive.

She was their #3 pitcher.
Look up their box scores at the regional.
She got “lit” by UCLA and Cal Santa Barbara…
We need better than this to compete for a championship. Must be that others are leaving. This is a depth piece at best.

She was their number 1, most innings, most wins, 4 time conference pitcher of the week, also beat Bama, Mizzou and Arizona. Heavener is the clear number 1 and was the last month of the season

If she was their #1 then why did someone else start their first game in the regional vs Arizona State?

So you’re going to ignore every single statistic that confirms she was their number one because she didn’t start in game one of the regional?

Probably wanted to try to sneak through to UCLA using their #2, which they did. She led the team in innings by almost 50 and faced 200 more batters than the next. It's pretty clear she was the #1.
To most people the fact that she started against UCLA would be the glaring proof that she was the #1 not that she didn't start against a lesser team.

Her Stats for the Season were interesting. Of The Regular Pitchers she did have the best ERA and the most K's and the least Walks! Also the most Innings Pitched. But she also gave up the most hits!!

Also threw a ton, maybe she wore down…

If you throw the most innings there's a good chance you'll give up the most hits.

Ok good info, didn’t know nothing about her, hopefully Heavener doesn’t jump to portal. If she can get some better control and stop walking/hitting batters for free passes, she is an ACE next yr

Jayden is the clear number 1 for the next 3 yrs, she is a take you to a WS pitcher!!

She was the Aztec Ace!
Then why didn’t she pitch game one of their regional?
However, if you think pitchers like this can help you win sec titles and get you to the wcws you are living in lala land.

I’d be willing to bet you haven’t seen her throw a single pitch

everyone on twitter that follows SDSU softball calls her their ace and a huge loss

Well regardless LSU NEEDS pitching depth in the worst way.
Losing Berzon hurts and there is no guarantee All American pitchers are gonna be in the portal or even be coming here so they have to add something at least.
It’s a very solid addition. Let’s see how the rest of the portal class rounds out (gains and losses). Still gonna want to add another arm and potentially a couple bats with pop

She fails his "did Dawn Staley recruit her?" test.
