LSU-Shreveport (54-0) NAIA World Series EDIT - LSU-S Wins 6-3 55-0;Play Again Monday Night

Congratulations to LSU-Shreveport, who will be playing Grand View in their opening game of the NAIA World Series. They are undefeated on the season with a current record of 54-0.
Personally, I've never heard of any baseball team at any level going undefeated throughout the season. Here's hoping that both LSU and LSU-S get off to a good start today.

EDIT - LSU-S plays at 1:30 PM today. Not sure right now if there's a way to follow the game.
EDIT 2 - According to Superbonics the game should be streamed on ESPN3.
EDIT 3 - LSU Wins 6-3..... 55-0

54-0 is absolutely insane, would love to see other "best record ever" teams in college baseball at any level.
They went 44-11 last year. 47-10 the year before that.
It seems almost impossible to play that many games and go wire to wire in baseball undefeated, I mean you're just bound to lose some games at some point, its baseball

Kind of like the New England Patriots when they went into the Super Bowl undefeated and then lost. I hope LSU-S doesn't feel extra pressure because of the streak.

My younger brothers HIgh School basketball team went 30-0 during the regular season (Louisiana 4A, which was as high as it went at the time) then proceeded to lose the first round playoff game to Lafayette High.

By classification, this is the most experienced team I have ever seen. If I sort by number of at bats, top 11 are all seniors. Sort by innings pitched, top 5 are 4 seniors and 1 junior

24 fielders - 15 seniors, 8 juniors, 1 sophomore, 0 freshmen
15 Pitchers - 5 seniors, 10 juniors, 0 sophomores, 0 freshmen
