Hi all, I have a work trip to Muscle Shoals next week. Looking for good food, interesting stuff, etc.. I don't have a ton of time but never been and want to try a couple cool local things. Open to 20 miles radius or so.

Never been myself, but there doesn't seem to be much there.

Watch this before you go : (worth it for the soundtrack alone)

Then tour this studio upon arrival:

good food

One of my favorite Thai places is in Florence, Al. Yumm Florence, Al

The local Mexican place that everyone goes to. It's decent, but more about the atmosphere. Rosie's

Local college pizza place. Waitresses here are usually first class. Pie Factory

Floating restaurant. Food isn't amazing, but atmosphere is cool. River Bottom Grill

Here's a couple of bars we like:

Boiler Room This will get packed steadily as the college kids come out.
Gun Runner Rooftop Bar This is where the adults will be.
Wildwood Tavern College dive bar.
Singing River Brewery The local brewery. They have an event space next door. Check the calendar and see what they have coming. My wife and I went one evening and they had semi-pro wrestling there. It was an experience to say the least.

Interesting Stuff:

Fame Studios. Not every day you can tour where Lynard Skinnard and the Rolling Stones composed records.
McFarland Park. Nice park on the river
Rattlesnake Saloon and Horse Park. They don't serve beer until after 5PM.
Cypress Creek Florence Never used an outfitter, but there are several that offer trips. Waiting for Tyga to post an Instagram thread on it.
There's a Robert Trent Jones golf course in the area if you are into golf.

If I can ever get my wife to retire, this is where we are going.

I've always enjoyed Odette's. Good food, great bourbon collection.

The Rosenbaum House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is worth a visit.

As mentioned, Fame Studio and Muscle Shoals Sound tours are great.

Forgot Odette's. It is very good, but Yumm is my must stop when I'm there. I try to take a couple of trips there every year. We love it.

This is always a stop when we go over for a Saturday.

Georges Steak Pit is an option if you want a great steak.

360 Grill is a great view but the food is way overrated.
