Laws are meaningless, it’s all about the people behind the laws

You can have a law that says X. But one group of people might believe they can manipulate the spirit of that law to actually mean Y.
Laws are really not that big of a deal if you have a good, moral, cohesive, and intelligent culture and country. The laws at that point just become a formality. But everyone is generally on the same page on how things should go.
When the wrong people who don’t hold the same values are brought into the electorate, and then the wrong people are elected into positions of power because of the electorate, then the laws will mean whatever they want them to mean. And any lawyer, judge, or politician will figure out a way to make the laws mean whatever they want them to mean.

John Adams wanted a nation of laws, not men. It has over the years been subverted to a nation of laws for some, but others are politically correct and can't be touched. We saw that with Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.
Others were tried in cases without merit but were strategically prosecuted in areas in order to get a political result. This is happening to citizens.
Yet the people that practiced lawfare, now want to protect invaders and killers. John Adams is spinning in his grave,

Over 1/4 of our current House members hold law degrees and over half of our Senators hold law degrees.
Lawyers are expert at angles, loopholes, “nuance”, and generally talking in circles until you no longer can even remember what the topic even was. They love to argue and they love to win arguments.
The people of our nation would be better served in the long run if our Congress was not overly represented by one profession.
This, to me anyway, is a telling data point as to why many of us feel we have a Congress that loves to talk but is often found lacking on substance.
We need more people in Congress who are interested in getting things done and then getting the hell out (like what our founders intended).
Ultimately that’s been on us as voters for lazily re-electing the same cast of characters over and over again throughout the years (if we even bothered to vote some elections).

My old lawyer once told me that contracts/laws are only as good as your ability to have them litigated.
I have found that out the hard way on occasion and have never lost that proverbial mention in aftermath.

Really its about the people who have the videos and other forms of evidence of our politicians and judges doing illegal things and are being blackmailed that have the power.

I agree with your emphasis on the character of the people, but you have way understated the importance of the law. Our Bill of Rights is helping to keep this nation on course. Our balancing of the three branches of government have prevented the Dems from implementing full on Marxism when they have held power, and I’m sure they have similar examples about us.

Hart-Cellar Immigration Act working as intended.

The laws are created, defined, and administered by humans.
Therefore they will only be as good as the humans that follow them
