I thought dude would surely be a top batter instantly, but he’s getting worse

Hitting an MLB pitch is hard. Some guys make it. Some don’t. You never know.

Lmao

He’s 70 games into his MLB career. He’s a gold glove in CF. And he has elite speed

There’s a better chance of him winning MVP one day than him not figuring it out

I couldn’t imagine posting in a thread and clearly knowing nothing about it

Wyatt Langford seems to be catching on.

I love Crews — saying that, Langford was SMACKING the ball in Omaha their last year in school. Nobody was smoking it like he was on that big stage consistently.

That had me pretty excited at the time, but I think he may wind up being a top 3 OF offensively if he hits his peak.

His physique scares me as it’s a little Trout-esque and I somewhat see them as a comp.

I saw a video breaking down Crews swing the other day and their take is he's too far down in his legs. He definitely had some holes in his swing at LSU that he overcame by inside-outting the ball. That's not working at the MLB-level yet.

Nobody is saying he won’t figure it out. We’re saying that he probably needs to head back to AAA to do it. If he was on a team that was worth a dam, he’d already be there. The orioles sent Holliday down, the Cubs sent down their top prospect too

It doesn't take Pete Rose to see that a .181 BA isn't good.

Langford also started out slow during his rookie year before catching on in the back half of last year, and obviously this year.

Hitting is hard, but I think crews will adjust as the season goes on and into the offseason.

Before his 0-4 tonight, he had an OPS+ of 61. There’s only 10 qualified players in MLB worse. His OBP is .245 & his Slg couldn’t win a batting title. I’m praying they send him down so he can figure it out

Like one guy said, hitting MLB pitching is hard to do. My guess is he will come around. There is a reason he was drafted at #2.

James Wood seems to have no problems in the majors and he came up at the same time

James Woods didn’t win a natty at LSU so you can’t use that in your argument

Winning a college title has zero to do with how a player is in the pros.
