I want EVERY illegal. If you're booked for shoplifting, you're going to Rikers Island.

I want all people that steal to be given the middle east sentence for thievery, cut off a hand. You would see a serious drop in the usual suspects thievery crimes.

Why do you people turn to social media for news?
ICE has not taken over Rikers.
First of all, Rikers is a jail not a prison.
Second Rikers is basically NYC only jail (there are a few smaller jails astride courts in places like Brooklyn, etc.). What does ICE have to do with looking over a local jail where muggers and assaulters and various other local (but here legally) thugs?
What's happening is different. And I do think ICE will play a small role when it comes to illegals who are brought there (via some kind of ICE office or small facility) but 99 percent of the jail has nothing to do with ICE.
