Why are so many people on here griping about China deal?

Nothing personal, but the whole "decoupling" idea is just ditzy, and if you believe decoupling is a good idea then you might as well believe in the easter bunny and the tooth fairy. It flies directly in the face of IR theory. The more that two nation-states trade with each other, the less likely they are to kill each other and go to war with each other.
That's basic IR theory. Think European Union. Europeans couldn't stop hating on each other and killing each other, and then the EU came along -- "interdependence." China and the U.S. need interdependence for the sake of not wiping each other off the map.
...Meanwhile, I saw some people on here last week cheering civil unrest in China. Anyone who cheers civil unrest in China also is ditzy and also might as well believe in the easter bunny and the tooth fairy. Social upheavel and regime change would be one of the hardest kick in the nuts imaginable to the global economy, including ours. Even worse, we don't want the CCP to get desperate, because desperate regimes do desperate and nutty shite – i.e. some "rally around the flag" event or full-on war. Sucks to be them, but the Chinese people need to be kept in line by their government for the sake of our quality of life.
This is called "realism."

100% truth. I have a family member with TDS. Years ago, I asked "what if he cured cancer, and I don't mean he signed something and some other scientist cured it because of something he signed for funding, but he himself was working secretly in the basement of the Whitehouse and literally cured it himself?"

It also doesn't speak much for the intelligence of people like this.....they are literally brainwashed to believe every single thing Trump does is bad. They truly would rather the country crumbled than he be successful. That should tell you all you need to know. Precisely. We are so fortunate in this country and have become so comfortable as a society that we have to come up with really creative stuff to fight about and be outraged about. People in many countries think that their country is falling apart because their country really is falling apart. People in America think that America is falling apart because dressing like a woman hasn't been this popular since the 1980s.
