Deer Stand Spacing

I've always based spacing between stands needs to be 400 yards as a minimum distance (especially on high or pipelines). Does anyone know of a Louisiana law or a published set of guidelines for this?

Definitely no law on it 400 yards is a long ways especially through the woods. You can be setup 100 yards from someone and not know they are there in the right terrain

The only laws I've heard of in relation to this are generally based on gun hunting and in relation to property size. For example some states you can't use a rifle on less than X amount of acres.
As said, if you are hunting ridges and creeks or a swamp or who knows what then you could be 50 yards away from someone and hunting completely different areas the other person can't see.

the stands on our family lease are spaced 300 yards from each other along a high line
we have flagging marking 150 yards between each stand
I don't think there are any laws on this, at least not in LA

Completely depends on terrain leading up to food sources and pinch points.
We have stands roughly 75 yards apart where they can be hunted at the exact same time and both people see completely different deer without either person having a bad hunt
But this is in north La and we actually have decently large elevation changes

250 is plenty. No regulations though.

I’ve seen stands be within throwing distance for the sake of hunting different wind. Whatever floats your boat.
MS has a law that a feeder may not be within 100 yards of a property line, only law besides some local ordinances I’ve ever heard of.

Only distance law I think is 50 yards off roads and property lines..

Our lease near Ft Polk puts them a minimum of 300 yds apart.
