More than two decades after leaving ESPN, Rich Eisen is returning to the network as part of its forthcoming direct-to-consumer offering, sources briefed on the move said Monday.

Eisen will take “The Rich Eisen Show” from Roku to ESPN in the fall. There is a strong possibility that the program, which runs from noon to 3 p.m. ET, could also land on ESPN Radio, where it would be viewed as an anchor for the network, but those details are not yet ironed out. Similarly to “The Pat McAfee Show,” Eisen’s program will be licensed by ESPN, meaning he is expected to maintain ownership and editorial control. The terms of the deal are not yet known.

Eisen's show comes on the same time as McAfee. Wonder if ESPN is going with a more traditional and "safer" show with Eisen (whom I believe they 'mutually parted ways' with in the early 00s). Either that, or someone is moving time slots.

That 9/10am to 1/2 pm slot is kind of a prime slot because big sports news always breaks during that time and it's catches lunch breaks across all three time zones.

Didn’t ESPN buy the NFLN?

I have no idea. I don't follow stuff like that. I had just assumed that the NFLN was a separate entity.

Well that’ll be the only ESPN content I’ll consume outside of live games

Have you heard the morons on The Facility? If I walk by and it's accidentally on. I can't reach a charger fast enough.

Highly doubt he'll want to go up against Dan Patrick. Those two are really close and both have supported each other's shows a ton over the last decade. Who knows though, money talks. Pretty crazy that he went from being on a network on DirecTV directly following DP to getting dropped down to just the Roku channel and now getting picked up by the mother ship.
