Anyone going? I'm looking forward to this one.

Went to see him at the old Twi-Ropa on Tchop about 20 years ago. Amazing guitarist but very strange guy.

I'll be at the P'cola show the next night.

Does he still give away toys at the end of shows?

I'm considering going in DFW tomorrow.

I got a ticket when it was first announced. It's a bucketlist item for me, no puns intended.

It's never been outright stated but I think he's probably on the spectrum in some capacity. Guitar is his gift.

It was awesome. He played for about two hours, with no breaks.
It was a mix of him playing to a backing drum/bass track and playing with an actual drummer.
For one song, a chick came out and shredded on the guitar and he played bass.

Yea that's COB aka Charlotte O'Boyle. She's been touring with him.

Saw him about 15 years ago. I like his music but his show is kinda boring.

Sweet. I can't wait to see this. TY for the summary.

It's kind of a weird show, which is to be expected. But not just because he's a weird dude, but they do a lot of stuff that doesn't make sense.
Like, why have a drummer, but play half your songs to a drum track?
And why travel with a guitarist, who comes out for one song, instead of traveling with a bass player, and play the entire show to a live rhythm section?

Was there an opener?
Looking at the schedule, it looks like doors open at 7 and show is at 8. I hope that's the case. Was planning on a full day in NOLA but not sure now with 10 escaped prisoners running around lol

No opener. He started about 10 minutes after the stated start time.
