My great aunt killed one in her chicken coop and fed it to us for lunch. She didn’t tell us until we were half through with it. It was good. Guess ya gotta not know , and have someone who knows how to cook it. Good gravy over rice.

Except I’ve never kicked a dead bloated cow and have a squirrel or rabbit run out the arse.

Why would you kick a dead, bloated cow?

If you worked in a plant in South Louisiana 30+ years ago, you likely ate coon, possum, nutria…I went into many a control room where they were serving a 4 legged roast in brown gravy, as a young engineer, you didn’t ask questions, you just ate a plateful.
