Will be signing a veteran QB with the cap space we have now. Very unselfish for Carr to retire. We have CAP SPACE now...

Haener is toast. They'll have to bring in a veteran presence. Throwing Shough out there into the lions den is a prescription for disaster

We don’t know what we have yet with Shough, and I’d also be interested to see what Rattler looks like with a year under his belt and healthy O-Line and receivers. They both have promise.

Some of you are truly insufferable.

So many of yall are all in on Shuck being trash.

I can’t wait till he proves you wrong and you still won’t be able to admit it. He can be rookie of the year and you will still find some bull shite to hate on.

It’s gonna be so much fun.

I hope not I’d rather roll with Spencer and Tyler. With all the holes in this roster you could bring in prime Elway and you’re not making the playoffs. Vegas had us with 5.5 wins and that was with Carr

Agree completely. Shough is a legitimate QB...Great athlete, with a great arm. He is faster, quicker, bigger, and better arm than the QB that was drafted in the 5th round. Now comes the whining......

Who fricking cares man. At least we’ve stopped pretending that we’re a few a handful of players away from contending and actually gearing up to compete again.

I’d much rather see if one of these young dudes can be something than sign some 20ish best qb in the nfl and stay in the bottom end of purgatory.

I like his potential but I’m still very much not expecting much from him this season. This team will be much more complete in two years.

Need a VET for these young QB's to learn from. It is what it is. We can maybe go after Clowney, also. We have flexibility now.

Why?

Because I don’t want us to sign some shitbag retread?

Or because I realize it’s going to take some actual time to do this right?

You’re nothing until you have a qb. We took a crack at one.

Signing Kurt cousins or someone similar still means you have none.

Do you remember what Payton did in his first year?? Just saying. We were coming off of Katrina. We went to the NFC Championship. I love our new Head Coach. Love our OC, and DC. We are building for this upcoming year. WHO DAT!!!!!

I’m excited about the year dude. I’m largely excited because we’re going to give young guys a shot and aren’t trying to mortgage actually being good in a few years to piece together an extra win or two with an average vet.

No...The division is completely wide open. We can win this division. Our draft picks will help a lot....Now free agents with the new cap space. WHO DAT!!!!

Agree to disagree. We’ve got another draft or two before we catch Atlanta or Tampa talent wise. Hopefully we don’t blow this money on the old retreads still available and actually build the right way.

I think the Saints are going to have to sign a veteran quarterback to transition and tutor Tyler Shough. No way they are keeping Jake Haener on this squad, but Rattler is better than Haener.
