So my iPhone SE, which an ATT executive recommended to me and I LOVE all of a sudden seems like it can’t down load the data from my credit card home page and my stock broker like it has for years. So I can’t pay my credit card like I used to. I can download it on my laptop but also takes longer now than it did. Any ideas?

If you are using a VPN, turn off the VPN
be sure to turn off any extensions you might have added
and/or try a different browser

The first thing I can think of is that your iOS version may be old or out of date. Banks (and stock brokers) will quickly stop supporting out of date OS versions or hardware. If this is indeed the case try updating to the latest version of iOS you can (the most current version is iOS is 18.4.1).

Is there a reason you're not using the financial provider's apps and relying on a web browser?

Probably because I am old enough to remember using punch cards to use a computer in college.

But don’t have to teach me twice. Just downloaded the investment advisor ap. Thank for the advice.

But Iam curious as to why an app would be faster than accessing my account from their website?

Hey, old man, they still had to use punch cards to enroll us in classes at LA Tech in the 90s!

It's not necessarily that it's faster. Browsers often tweak little things like what kind of cookies (digital trackers) a website is permitted to put on your device, or what kind they're allowed to read off of your device during their updates which usually occur every two weeks. While good for privacy, there are certain institutions that will notoriously not work properly, if at all, if they don't have access to do whatever they want. Using their app bypasses the restrictions set by the browser, and then they can use or write whatever cookies they want.
