Going this weekend. Menu looks great. Any can’t miss items?

I know the chef had Wild South which shut down early this year, maybe he’s refocused efforts to Coquette for Michelin?

Heard the flounder was amazing. Snapper as well.

ETA: friends went Sat night and those dishes are different than what’s online. The snapper has a mild curry sauce and the founder is paneed, or lightly fried.

Okay, consensus is snapper is good. Ordering that for sure.

Update: braved the weather and made our reservation.

Started with marinated crab claws, and the crisped sweet potato. Both good, I really liked the sweet potato though it’s not anything special. Sweet potato crisped up/smashed, with whipped yogurt and coated with chili oil.

For entrees we got the squid ink pasta and the snapper. Snapper was cooked perfectly and the carrots served with it were very good. Squid ink pasta was good, deceptively spicy and a bit oily for our liking.

Had the panna cotta for dessert. Not amazing but not bad.

Also, word of warning, the Junglebird drink sounded a lot better than it tasted. It was a mezcal drink, which I typically like, but was a little too smokey and bitter for my likings.

Overall, enjoyed the meal. Didn’t blow us away, but it wasn’t bad. They didn’t have any specials which I was bummed about. I’ve never been to a Michelin star restaurant but based on what we had last night and the service, I can’t imagine they’d get one.

He took that off when he opened Wild South. Of course now that's closed and it's a rotisserie chicken place. Seems he would bring back that option at Coquette.

Sounds like we were there the same night (Friday). We started with the bread with butter and beef marmalade, it was fantastic and probably the highlight of the meal. Had a half dozen raw oysters which were very good and the smoked fish dip which was also very good. My wife had the snapper and I had the flounder. We didn’t care for the snapper the way it was prepared with the curry and it was a little overcooked. The flounder was very good. We also had the panna cotta and it was good. But like you said we weren’t blown away by anything except maybe the bread! We ate at Lilette a couple of weeks prior and the two fish dishes we had there were better
