Leaving for Nashville this weekend and then hitting the Smoky's next week. Gonna start this adventure with Dollywood. Then we head to King's Island, then Cedar Point, and then we wrap with Six Flags St. Louis.
Question for anyone who knows these well or any of them. Are the Fast Passes worth it for weekdays in May? Also, please let me know which rides you'd hit first. We love speed. I figure its best to get to the most popular ones first.
TIA

Dollywood is a great time. Firechaser and Big Bear Mountain were our favorites. They have way more intense coasters but we weren't adventurous enough for those
ETA: crowds should be fine with school being in. And get the cinnamon bread! Trust me on that one.

Maverick at Cedar Point.
We stayed overnight onsite, had early admission, and got to ride quite a bit. If you’re there on a weekday while school is in session, I think you’ll be able to ride everything… but there’s a lot to ride there.

We go to Cedar Point for a weekend every year. If your gonna be there just 1 day, get the line-skip. There's so much there and so many really legit coasters.

That's what I'm leaning to. Thanks.

Get the “super” fast pass. Costs another extra amount, but if you don’t you’ll have to stand in line for valravn, steel vengeance, maverick, millennium.
It’s worth it.
I’ve been to cedar point close to 10x and it’s always fun. Unfortunately, I think I’m getting too old and can’t handle the intensity of the rides as I immediately get headaches. The past two trips, after my wife and I invested in the super fast pass, I could only go on each coaster once as my head / stomach weren’t feeling well.

I’ve hit up Dollywood and Cedar Point before, so I’ll share what I know. Fast Passes on weekdays in May? At Dollywood, I’d say skip it unless it’s a holiday week. Crowds are usually chill, and you can hit major rides like Lightning Rod or Wild Eagle early with short waits. Cedar Point’s a different beast, Fast Lane is clutch for big dogs like Steel Vengeance or Maverick, even on weekdays, ‘cause those lines can still creep up. No clue on Kings Island or Six Flags St. Louis, but I’d bet Fast Passes help for their top coasters too.

Yeah, I saw the Plus. Regular FP is $99 and that one is $125. It's very annoying to buy a $40 ticket to enter the park and then $125 to get on the rides faster

With my wife and I just hitting ride after ride though, it's likely what we'll do. $330 of fast action haha

Sorry to hear, I just turned 50 so I hope I don't have that issue.

Yeah, I've gathered FP is a must at CP. King's Island it will be a luxury, but at this point I'm likely getting it. Not sure on STL yet, still checking.

Fast passes are definitely worth it. You will probably have to do the math, but now that Cedar Fair and Six Flags have merged, you may be able to save some money by buying an all park passport to get into Cedar Point, King's Island, and Six Flags St Louis.

Thanks, I did check it but it doesn't math out for doing it plus fast passes. As an example, right now there's a deal for $95 per for KI that includes admission and Fast Lane and I got Cedar Point tix for $40 per (no FL yet). The Gold ticket plus All Park pass is $230 and that's not including FL.
