Post surgery scars - best option?

I recently had surgery to remove a benign tumor from my abdominal region. The scarring left behind are not very flattering. Has anyone done any treatment or used a product that they found worked well in minimizing its appearance? Open to reasonable options.

Mederma is one of the more common products. Give that a try first, but there may be more prescription options. This one is over the counter.

Vit E but has to be the Vit E gel caps. Not Vit E cream or ointment.
Puncture hole with a razor blade and squeeze out the juice, rub onto scar.
This took away a scar on my leg left by a motorcycle exhaust pipe.

Mederma is what was recommended to me for my thyroidectomy and was really pleased with the results. Cheers

I have some absolutely big arse scars that no amount of anything was going to fix, and I began lifting again way, way too early and stretched them out as well (high school and I was an idiot). I understand the initial hesitation, and if possible wanting to reduce them, but if that doesn't work remember, it's proof you're alive. Anyone that's dumb enough to look at those scars and judge you negatively are just preemptively showing you they are idiot bags of shite, not worth the time of day.

I want to keep mine on my knees hips and feet so people will know why I am 6-3 and cannot dunk.
