I think the majority don't want peace. If the US never did anything, most of the Barron's and Winston's would still be cheering Russia.

Why does Russia need to be our enemy? Russia didn't lie and tell me that Joe Biden was running circles around folks in the Whitehouse, that Joe was sharp as a tack and running the country. Russia didn't lie and tell me that COVID came from bat soup, that 6 ft distancing would save us, that masks work and the vaccine was safe. Russia didn't demand I be fired for not getting the vax. Russia didn't open our southern border to an invasion and then claim there was nothing to be done, without Congress. Seems my real enemy is my own government.
