I’m all for marketing and putting yourself out there but why does it feel like this team (mainly the “big guys”) just whores itself out?
They give every artist who plays the Texas Club a jersey to wear on stage. Does this kind of stuff truly help spread the word or bring in more money?
I know Rantz is a top guy. Isn’t that clown who got busted for the LSU football tickets involved too?
Whole thing has always seemed odd. Probably just me though.

Well if the idea is to try to make money, you can usually increase your profits through advertising.

I get it but I just don’t see how their methods will work. Call me crazy.
This will probably turn into a “I don’t think this thread is going the way you thought it would” thread

Tickets and concessions are cheap and their season isn’t very long. Gotta raise money somehow.

If BREC would put some money into fixing up both Memorial and Goldsby it might help but BREC is pretty much useless
They even have willing partners willing to pitch in and help
Catholic was ready to spearhead major renovations to Memorial
the baseball field needs a turf field bad, if Rantz was smart he would contract with a local high school instead of using Goldsby
Rantz all but gives away free tickets for most games and what else is there to do in Baton Rouge during summer months

It's a great opportunity for college players to play Summer League baseball with wooden bats, especially younger players who may not have played much during season. The teams need to raise money, and Ronnie has to work hard to both raise money and generate attendance. It can be really hot at the games, but they have great prices on food and sometimes give away beer. Overall, it's a positive for Baton Rouge.

Why would they do that ? It is not like the home games sell out and nobody likes going to that part of town, CHS tolerates it because Olympia is too small for the football games, but Grizzly field is enough room

Not doubting that in any way.

He’s an owner/promoter doing everything he can to make it work. I’ve been a few times and Ronnie does a good job with resources he’s got.. it’s cheap fun but the facilities are what they are at this point.
