Does it appear he’s pitching more 3/4 in his delivery?

Still prefer him as a sunday starter. We need Cowen and Evans in the pen.

Bad mechanics that have not been addressed. Yeskie has to accept some blame.

This is why you don’t name someone preseason first team all conference and first team all American when they haven’t pitched in 2 years.

You never know what you’re going to get. And we don’t have chase shores of yesteryear/pre TJ.

I think you could work Cowan into the rotation. Shores has the potential to be a good closer.

He is deep breathing on every pitch. He has no confidence in his stuff and is all over the place. Looks like this will be a high scoring game. Hopefully we come out on top of it.

He hits a damn wall in the second inning every week. After 3rd inning pitch count is always 60+ already

Why? If you can’t throw strikes you can’t close.

Tight zone. He gets out of this and we're ok.

Shores is 6'8" and throws damn sidearm.

Got away with it his entire life because of size and velocity.

Tough when you actually have to learn how to pitch.

Hell, it took Randy Johnson years in the pros before he got the coaching he needed. That being said, Unit's ability to control that whipping arm slot has always been very underrated.
