Do I have to buy an iPhone to play my music now?

I bought a new car yesterday (2025). My old car (2017) was compatible with my iPod touch. My new car isn't. I don't have an iPhone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note. Does this mean I will have to buy a new Apple product to be able to play my songs in my new car? I have built up my catalog of songs on iTunes since 2008 or so. I have over 13,000 songs that I can't play right now. I only listen to my music in the car. I work out to YouTube.

If you have Bluetooth it shouldn’t be an issue.

A few questions:
1) What do you mean your new car is not compatible? Is it giving you an error message?
2) Are you still individually buying songs on iTunes?

You will have to tow a trailer with a 5 piece band on it to get any music now.
Sucks, but these are the times we live in.

Look for a wireless Bluetooth adapter that will plug into the iPod. You may need a cord adapter too but it should work.

Hell yes. I have a 13,000 song catalog that I have bought over the years.

Just plug your headphones into the iPod a listen like everyone else.

Your new car should have something that connects just a regular USB, try looking in the console

I connected it to the USB and I'm getting the error saying the media is not recognized. The bluetooth isn't pairing either.

Yikes. Why don't you just get a service in which you can just download music?

If your car has bluetooth, then it will connect to your samsung. It can be done, you just have to figure it out.

If you absolutely insist on using your ipod for music then you can purchase an FM transmitter. There are wired and wireless options. They are cheap, simple and effective. You will basically tune your FM radio to a certain station which you set on this device and your glorious music library will play over the radio waves.
Or just get a streaming service like normal people.
