Harry Reid’s Legacy

The airport that shares his name is a complete shithole, which is fitting for such a divisive a-hole. The smell of hangover shites wafts into the seating areas and the people look miserable, hungover and questioning their life-choices. It’s fitting.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

What was the letter he wrote that Rush Limbaugh bought at an auction or something? That’s my biggest Harry Reid memory.

He was really good on UFO disclosure. Of course, Bob Bigelow, the billionaire behind disclosure was his big financial backer. I think he gave Trump a few million too so hopefully they come clean sooner or later

I believe it was Tom Daschle who wrote the letter.

Can't beat the location though. Should have never been named for Reid.

I remember him looking like this and finding it oddly satisfying…..…..

He was an arse, one of the first I remember lying so blatantly and with ease. That was before I knew they (Liberals) were all either worthless idiots who were genuinely stupid or completely evil.

How quickly we forget. I thought this thread was about the former adult film star (of course I had only heard of him).

“Mitt Romney doesn’t pay taxes” from the senate floor then when questioned about it saying “well mitt Romney isn’t president is he” should’ve had him censured. I know the media has always run cover for dems but after that the media really upped the blatant and constant lies.

That was the “phony soldiers” smear. The original “suckers and losers” hoax. Dingy Harry invented it.
It’s funny how the democrats always follow the same playbook. They hate our military but will feign righteous indignation in order to destroy a conservative or Republican.

No, Dingy Harry wrote a letter to Clear Channel signed by all the democrat senators demanding Rush be fired for claiming some leftwing activists were “phony soldiers” on Rush’s morning update.

Edit:
quote:
In 2007, Rush Limbaugh blasted “phony soldiers” — i.e., people who claimed to have been in Iraq but weren’t. Reid said that Rush was “unpatriotic.” (N.B.: Liberals can call conservatives unpatriotic — Howard Dean: “John Ashcroft is not a patriot” — but not vice versa.) Reid got 40 other Democratic senators to sign a letter denouncing Rush.
And then Rush went to work, in his characteristic way — making lemonade out of those 41 Democratic senators. He obtained their letter and auctioned it on eBay. He got $2.1 million for it — which he gave to charity. That was after chipping in an additional $2.1 million himself. (He does that.) The charity was the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, which provides scholarships to children of the fallen.
While all this was going on, Reid, too, did something characteristic: He took to the Senate floor and pretended he was acting in concert with Rush, for the benefit of children. “I strongly believe that when we can put our differences aside, even Harry Reid and Rush Limbaugh, we should do that and try to accomplish good things for the American people.” I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anything more brazen or galling in politics.
