Marshall Louque is committed (signed?) with LSU, but he's the only one I know anything about.

That's a lot of kids even for an LLWS all star team. I coached for 20 years in Dixie Youth and LL and had 15 kids make it to a college team. I had predicted all 15 would make it to play for college and never predicted one that didn't. Great time coaching, esp when one of my sons weren't on the team.

Same year the Eastbank Softball team finished runners up. 6 going to play college ball and 2 others had multiple offers but decided not to play in college.

Wasn’t former LSU RB Jason Spadoni’s nephew on that LLWS team?

Curious if nephew has college baseball plans.

Saw Reece Roussel's name in the Advocate story about Holy Cross v. De La Salle? matchup this week. Thought he would be the elite hitter in the state based on his LLWS at age 12. Kid looked like MVP Christian Yelich at the plate. Centenary? huh? Does not compute.

Kids develop at different ages. How many players on the current roster played in the LLWS?

Boys start hitting puberty around 12/13yrs old. All of them typically have hit puberty by 15/16. A lot of the LL studs hit puberty early and the age cut off makes a big difference. I’m just saying a stud at 12 might not be the best judge of how good they will be in HS or above. It just may mean they were literally men playing against boys at the time of the age cutoff.
