2025 Classic started this morning on Ray Roberts in east Texas. Going to be interesting. Just after this front and winds in the 20's all three days. Not 100% on board with the line up but there are some guys in there I can root for
Hoping the winds and lake construction gives us a little old school spinnerbait and jig fishing and not as much FFS.
Pulling For Hackney, Jordan Lee and would even love to see Jacob Powroznik do well. JPow finished 2nd at Hartwell a few years back on one of my products.
Gotta pull for him.
Guys are losing fish this morning so far. Talking about 6-8 bites per day so cant afford not to take advantage of them when they come.
I have been to Ray Roberts but it was 20 years ago. Tons of shallow water and standing timber.
Live coverage on the Bassmaster website then on Fox Sports tomorrow and Sunday at 12:00

Pulling for anyone not using Livescope
.
Honestly I don't care but it's funny to me how the old timers make it such a big deal.

Slow start to the morning. a couple of bigs but no one with a limit yet.
Water temps colder than I thought.
Lakes around here are in the 60's so I expected RR to be close... looks like low to mid 50's there.

Not necessarily. I believe Jordan will be using FFS some.
Plus, I sell old school baits and FFS hurts business.

I think the guys will be utilizing it even if they are fishing timber. It is not something that is going away. Not using it is a disadvantage for them.

lol, using ffs is like the old Nintendo game Black Bass where you could see the fish swimming to your lure and biting it

Dude is so good with the FFS. That was a huge catch to get him going.

Thanks bud, no idea you did this
I assume your finesse stick is like a trick worm? What’s your closes color to junebug. I’ll put in an order soon for some baits.

Yea, it is a mix of a swamp crawler front end and a slim down Senko on the tail end. Good wacky rig bait or jighead bait. I do not have a lot of dark colors. Most of my guiding and target areas were clear water stuff. I do have some green pumpkin colors, watermelon red and my most popular color is Electric Shad. I use it is the black waters in florida.. Length wise, it is between a finesse worm and trick worm. Good bait.

Did I hear them say that "ALL" these fish will be brought back to The Dickies Center in Ft Worth ?
59 Miles
They are going to haul 100+ 4-8 lb pre spawners to Ft Worth and back, then release them back in the lake.
Maybe I heard them wrong

No that is correct. It is one thing that I do not like about this style of event. Same at Guntersville when they took them to Birmingham.

The lake commission or TDWF should be raising hell about that.
Maybe take your biggest and the top ten or so could take them in on the final day.
But day one - come on
