Names you can’t watch b/c they weren’t good enough to get their team to the tournament:
Dylan Harper - Rutgers
Ace Bailey - also Rutgers

I haven't followed heavily, but how is Cooper Flagg's ankle injury? He gonna play in the tournament or no?

He's done. There's no way his handlers let him come back if he's not 100%. And he's has absolutely nothing left to prove.

Haha ok.
The overreaction to a simple ankle sprain from some of you is hilarious. He’s not a Pelican, yet, so this isn’t 3 month injury. It was simply a 3 day injury at most.

First time watching him this year. Came away not wanting him at all after watching him pout when he didn’t get the ball at the end a few times, sulk without moving on offense, and playing no defense.

Seems kinda... bad... that two top 3 NBA prospects couldn't get that team to at least a tournament berth...?

He's a gifted scorer, I like him.

The dude could tear his achilles and still probably be the #1 pick, at worst #2

LSU had Ben Simmons (#1 overall) and 4 other players who played in the NBA Antonio Blakeney, Brandon Sampson, Tim Quarterman, Josh Gray, plus G-League legend Keith Hornsby and didn't even make the NIT.

but yeah. it was a red flag then and it has proven true with that squad.

And if Hornsby doesn't get hurt they make the tournament, which they almost did anyone.
And they did make the NIT, they just chose not to play b/c Simmons and Quartmerman weren't going to play anyway.

I"m not saying Harper or Baily can't be good nba players, but it sure is very worrisome that they are both supposed to be top 5 picks and they didn't come close to making the tournament. As in LSU's case with Simmons, having a terrible coach doesn't help either.

He without a doubt is, but the attitude i saw at the end of the game was very offputting.

There's nothing wrong with wanting the ball at the end of the game. You obviously want a guy to be that way. But he couldnt' get the ball, so he decides to walk to the corner with his back turned to the ball and then just sit there like a kid who was being punished. And this is in a game where they are down by 2 in the last 2 minutes. Last play of the game he just stands there 10' above the top of the key setting up to take a shot. Never moves, then gives up once they miss and they dont' foul quick enough and the games over. Just a very selfish and immature few sequences from him at the end of the game.

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Cooper Flagg will make his return from an ankle injury when Duke, the No. 1 seed in the East Region, begins its 2025 NCAA Tournament campaign on Friday. The school confirmed that Flagg carries no injury designation and is active, marking his return to the lineup after missing the final two games of the ACC Tournament.

He's cleared to play after all.

Don't think the Pelicans take Johnson. They just drafted Hawkins and Reeves who have a similar profile to Johnson. While Johnson is a better scorer especially at this stage, his deficiencies are the same as those guys. I think the Pelicans would prefer prospects with more auxiliary skills, better defense, and athleticism in the top 10. They tend to have a type.

Makes Ben Simmons look at little better in retrospect

Think the Pels will have the sixth pick and select the point from Illinois. The tournament will be my first time seeing him.

Lanky injured dudes and 1 fat boy

But seriously, there is no way the current front office should even get to make this draft decision.

Hopefully we clean house, we get new blood in and they have different “types” than this loser front office does

Hawkins and Reeves should have no impact on the Pels selection

You've seen first hand the defensive deficiencies these archetypes have and they cannot overcome their defensive shortcomings due to their small frame and size. Johnson will have the same deficiency and it's already apparent at the college level. They are getting hunted when they are on the court and their defense isn't good enough to be able to play them consistently in meaningful games especially when they don't have the auxiliary skills to make up for it and contribute in other aspects of the game.
