Aww..not. I like Cam but we can wait until next year to get our QB, concentrate on the ancillary pieces.

IF we are going to trade up, it should only be for a QB that you think is your dude for the next 10 years.

Why would Tennessee do this?

I see your point. He has such a career arch of “winning now” and really carrying crap franchises

Callahan could be a head coach that doesn't think he has time for a rebuild. They get carr for cheap as hell, can offer a stable restructure of his deal paying him starting monies guaranteed the next 3 years. There is an angle that it can work for all parties.

But yes, i'm not overly disagreeing that Tennessee should want Cam over Carr.

“It was a great meeting,” Ward said. “If you get a chance to go play with a Super Bowl coach like coach Moore — he knows how to dial up a playbook.”

Ward grew up in West Columbia, Texas, about 400 miles west of New Orleans, but he appreciated watching one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and his top receiving target light it up with the Saints.

“The Saints were one of my favorite teams growing up,” Ward said. “When I was little, I loved watching Drew Brees and [Marques] Colston out there.”

From what I’ve seen, Cam Ward is the best player in the draft.

Dude will absolutely be successful in the NFL.

I’d love to have him.

I just think you have to offer a fanbase some hope or they’re basically going to revolt. Could you imagine you get a high pick and have a chance of getting a young qb that will at least be exciting and you trade it for Derek Carr in his mid 30s. That would be the ultimate kick in the nuts.

I asked AI what the trade would look like for the Saint the go from 9 to 1.

quote:

Potential Trade Package
To entice the Titans, who might be open to trading down if they don’t see a clear franchise-altering player at #1, the Saints could offer something like:
- 2025 #9 pick: The cornerstone of the deal, giving Tennessee a still-high selection.
- 2025 third-round pick (via Washington): Extra mid-round value from the Lattimore trade.
- 2026 first-round pick: A future first is often a key component in blockbuster trades like this.
- 2025 fourth-round pick (own or via Washington) or 2026 second-round pick: Additional compensation to balance the jump from #9 to #1.

This package—three or four picks, including two first-rounders—aligns with the precedent set by the Panthers-Bears trade. The Titans would get immediate value (#9 and a third in 2025) and future flexibility (a 2026 first), while the Saints would secure the #1 pick to potentially draft a top quarterback prospect like Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders.

### Factors Influencing the Cost
1. Quarterback Demand: If teams behind the Saints (e.g., the Giants at #2, Commanders at #3, or Patriots at #5) are also desperate for a QB, the Titans could demand more in a bidding war.
2. Prospect Value: If the 2025 draft class is seen as weaker at the top (some analysts suggest it lacks elite talent compared to other years), the cost might decrease slightly. Conversely, a standout player could drive it higher.
3. Saints’ Cap Situation: With limited cap space and an aging roster, the Saints might hesitate to part with too many picks, as they need cheap rookie contracts to rebuild. This could limit their offer.
4. Titans’ Strategy: If Tennessee believes they can still land a quality player at #9 and gain extra picks, they’d be more inclined to accept.

### Realistic Scenario
A plausible trade might look like:
- Saints give: 2025 #9, 2025 third-round pick (via WAS), 2026 first-round pick
- Titans give: 2025 #1

If the Titans demand more, the Saints could add a 2025 fourth-rounder or swap a 2026 second-rounder for their third-rounder. However, Mickey Loomis, known for aggressive moves, might push the envelope, while the Titans’ willingness to deal depends on their evaluation of the #1 pick’s worth.

In short, it would likely take at least two first-round picks and one or two mid-round picks for the Saints to jump from #9 to #1, assuming they’re targeting a game-changing player to kickstart a roster overhaul.

If that’s all it took I’d shake their hand off. With all the shite we’ve traded for other random arse players over the years I’d do that in a heartbeat for a potential franchise qb.
