Maybe it’s bc it’s only obvious to a national audience (and embarrassing to the school) when Neck is played. I watch almost every televised LSU event and I had no idea this chant applied to any other song other than Neck.

If our students could behave properly and not be so fascinated with saying “naughty” words to make themselves feel cool, our band could play Neck along with everyone else’s.

Exactly.

It's not even creative or funny. It's just being vulgar for the sake of being vulgar and laughing like 10 year olds saying "bad words" when their parents aren't around. It is a bad look for the university to anyone with a modicum of class, no matter how much you might think otherwise.

Is there always going to be an element of cussing and socially poor behavior at ball games? Of course. That's been the case for decades/generations. But chanting about sucking dick in unison is well beyond that

I couldn’t care less when somebody shows up to or leaves a sporting event. It’s none of my business. I do care when someone impugns or denigrates an institution that I care about and support. It makes all of us look like classless rubes.
